It’s time to turn over a new page. The New Moon is our monthly reminder that we can reflect and begin all over again. But there is no need to rush. The time of the New Moon is more about sowing the seeds of your intentions, and less about taking action. You can spend time thinking and dreaming into the actions you will take of course, but let’s leave the doing for when the time is right.
I have created this Gentle Yoga Flow to help you carve out some time and space in your day to begin this process. To use your breath and your movement practice to help you release and create space for the new, to listen in to what your body is whispering to you at the New Moon.
This yoga flow is low and slow. Take your time in each pose and stay a little longer if you wish too or move in a different way that feels good for your body. I am here to offer options for movement, but this does not mean that you have to do everything that I do. You are always your own best teacher.
New Moon Journal Prompts
After moving through this flow grab your journal or some paper and a pen and just see what comes up for you. Free write what is bubbling up in you after moving this flow or use these prompts as your guide:
Write down your top 5 wishes for this month.
What are you grateful for that happened last month?
What excites you about the time ahead?
And remember your intentions or wishes don’t have to be big, bold statements they can be just just a small simple change as well. You get more than once chance at this. Every New Moon provides the opportunity to keep building on these intentions and wishes, adapting them, growing them and helping you to invite more of what you want into your life.
