New Moon in Taurus yoga & meditation: Slow Down & Plant Your Intentions

The New Moon in Taurus invites you to pause, breathe, and come back to your roots. I have created two 10 minute Yoga and Meditation practices which you can find over on my YouTube Channel Sunflower Yoga, I have added the links below for ease. These practices are perfect for your at home New Moon in Taurus Ritual, to help you connect with the energies of this New Moon and plant your intentions for the new moon cycle ahead.

Taurus, the grounded earth sign ruled by Venus, is deeply connected to the senses, to beauty, and to what we value most. While Aries season may have stirred bold beginnings, Taurus slows us down. It reminds us that real, lasting growth takes time—and that the most powerful intentions are planted not in haste, but in stillness.

This new moon is a sacred opportunity to come home to yourself. To ask:

What truly matters to me now? Where do I long for more ease, beauty, and stability in my life?

The energy of Taurus is about tending to what’s real. It’s about building a life that feels nourishing, grounded, and deeply aligned with your values. This lunation supports intentions around self-worth, finances, comfort, home, and sustainable abundance.

It’s also a beautiful time to return to the body—your anchor in this ever-changing world. Taurus teaches us to honor the present moment through the senses. A warm cup of tea. A slow walk. A gentle yoga flow. These simple pleasures become sacred rituals under this moon.

Guided Meditation for the New Moon in Taurus

To support you in connecting with this earthy lunar energy, I’ve created a short 8-minute guided meditation for setting your New Moon in Taurus intentions.

In this meditation, you’ll be gently guided to ground into Taurus’s steady energy, reflect on what truly matters to you, and plant a soul-aligned intention with love and trust.

I also recommend taking a few moments after the meditation to journal. Writing down your reflections can help you clarify what’s ready to grow—and what you’re ready to release.

Here are a few journal prompts to support your practice:

What does stability look and feel like for me right now?
How can I create more of it in my day-to-day life?

What makes me feel deeply nourished and at ease?
How can I prioritize those things in the coming weeks?

What intention am I ready to plant that supports my self-worth, abundance, and long-term growth?
Write it clearly and simply, like a seed you are placing in the soil.
