A Yoga Nidra Meditation to help you emerge from your Winter hibernation and step into the fresh warm, nurturing energy of Spring. This script is a guide for you to use in either your own home yoga practice or in your yoga classes. It is designed to be around 20 minutes long, but you can adapt it to fit your chosen purpose.

The term “Yoga Nidra” translates to “yogic sleep” or “psychic sleep.” Despite the name, it’s not actually about falling asleep, although if you do fall asleep don’t worry that you have done something wrong, this must be what your body needed. You cannot do yoga nidra wrong.

How to use this Yoga Nidra Script

You can use this meditation practice to help relieve fatigue in the afternoon, after completing the practice you will feel more energized and much less groggy than you would after taking a nap. Yoga Nidra takes you to that liminal space between sleep and wakefulness, to allow you to rest and recharge the body and mind.

This meditation can also be used to help you wind down and settle to sleep in the evening. It works by systematically relaxing every part of the body, relieving stress and tension from the muscles, allowing you to fully release and let go and invite rest into the body.

Although this meditation has been designed for the season of Spring, it can also be used for when you are in the Inner Spring (Follicular phase of the Menstrual Cycle) or even your Second Spring (your Post-menopause years).

This Yoga Nidra Script is for use in your own yoga practice or to use in your yoga classes if you are a yoga teacher. This is not to be used to resell or for any other commercial purposes.

If you do choose to use this in your own yoga classes, feel free to use this word for word or adapt it a little to fit more with your own style of teaching.
